Rahul currently stays in Noida but his hometown is Allahabad(Prayagraj). He completed his B.Tech from ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad. After passing out from the college he got his first job in Talent Acquisition wing of Okaya. This is where his professional journey began and now he earns more than 30LPA.
Early Life, Schooling, and College
Rahul was born and brought up in the city of Allahabad. His father retired from railways. He has two siblings. Rahul completed his schooling from Colonelganj school in Allahabad. It was a Hindi medium school affiliated to UP Board. After completing his schooling Rahul took UPSEE and went on to join the CS course in ABES, Gaziabad. In college, Rahul maintained an average of approx. 70%. He got his first job offer in off-campus recruitment in Okaya.

I got my first offer from Okaya in 2007 as a recruiter.
What were the biggest challenges in getting the first breakthrough
Since I come from a Hindi medium school of UP Board. It was a little tough for me to come in terms with the English speaking culture. But I overcame it and eventually got an offer.
Can you tell us about your professional journey till now
I completed college in 2007. Joined Okaya as a Recruiter. After some time I switched over to Data Entity in the Talent Acquisition team and continued there for about 3 years. I have worked in Snapdeal as well. Currently, I am employed as a Lead in the Talent Acquisition team in one of the media giants in India. In between, I completed my PGDM as well which helped boost my career.
What are your future plans
Right now I am happy with my current employer maybe sometime in future I will float my own Talent Acquisition company.
Suggestion for budding Engineers and Recruiters
Try to do your best where ever you are and whatever you do and never lose hope. I just kept on delivering the best I could. Try to learn spoken English. Atleast you should be able to conversate and understand. This will help you gain a lot of confidence.
