DEFENCE ESTABLISHMENTs of INDIA

Indian Defence Establishments have following professional and uniformed services or wings functioning under the management of Ministry of Defence.
1. Indian Army

AIR FORCE – Indian Defence Forces

Union Public Service Commission recruits Commissioned Air Force Officers. They are trained at the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. The Commissioned Officers in Technical Branches, Women Special Entry Scheme, Education and various other Ground Duty Officers are recruited by the Recruitment Directorate of Air Force.

NAVY – Indian Defence Forces

PERKS OF JOINING Indian Defence Forces AT COMMISSIONED RANK

As per the 7th Central Pay Commission, the top ranking officers i.e. COMMISSIONED Officers are entitled to an executive figure of pay and allowances, MSP (Military Services Pay), Ration and canteen facilities at concessional rates, group insurance, high altitude pay and so on. At present the starting salary for Commissioned Officers viz. Lieutenant (for Army), Flying Officer (for Air Force), and Sub Lieutenant (for Navy) is in the pay band Rs.56,100 to 1,77,500+ MSP Rs.15500 p.m. (fixed) + D.A.+ T.A. + Flying Allowance and so on.
