Stephen William Hawking or popularly known as Stephen Hawking was undoubtedly one of the greatest physicists of our times. A man who never gave up, a man to whom no hurdle was quite enough to stop him. The Internet is full of articles on his journey as a scientist, a physicist or an intelligent man but in this post, we will try to explore the struggles and fight of a man who overcame all the hurdles to eventually become great.
Fight against Struggle
Stephen was born to a British father and a Scottish Mother. He was not very successful in his initial schooldays. However, he was popularly known as Einstein. In college, he was quick, witty and developed an interest in science fiction and classical music. After graduation, he went on to pursue Ph.D. On one side Stephen was continuously climbing up the ladder in his profession while on the other his condition was continuously deteriorating due to motor neuron disease. At an early age of 21, he was diagnosed with motor neuron disease. Doctors estimated his life expectancy at maximum two years. This disease not only stripped him of writing and speaking ability but also completely paralyzed him with time. But his determination to live independently and without concessions for his disabilities led him to greatness.
He inspired not only the specially abled community but all. He lived his life with determination and strong will. His life was his message. Determination and strong will can overcome any hurdle in the world.
